| | Welcome to GAVIN HARDKISS CLASSIC RECORDS | | Gavin Hardkiss is one of the members of the renowned Hardkiss crew whose production and DJing talents have rocked parties around the globe for the past 15 years. Born in South Africa, Gavin Hardkiss makes his home in California where he was one of the guiding lights of electronic music and underground culture in the 1990s and still continues to be an in demand DJ, remixer and producer. During the '90s, the Hardkiss record label became world famous with its releases by the Hardkiss crew and other artists like Rabbit in the Moon and Symbiosis. "Delusions of Grandeur," an album compiled of the first several vinyl releases on the Hardkiss imprint, became an instant classic and is now highly sought after collector's item. Gavin composes music under the guise of Hawke. The debut Hawke album "Namaquadisco" was released in 1997 on Sunburn Records in the U.S.A. and Distance in Europe. The album "Heatstroke" was released by Six Degrees in 2001. Other noteworthy 12-inch vinyl releases include "3 Nudes in a Purple Garden," "Acid Funk," and "Erections from Namaquadisco Vol. 1, 2 and 3," "Theme from Sticky Trumpets," "Party People," and there are dozens of other limited edition 10" and 12" under various pseudonyms.
